Coatesville Car Show Survey
As mentioned in my email, I am looking for ways to find out what is important to you for a car show. Your survey responses will help me determine how I can restructure the show in a way that wouldn't result in ending it. Below is the proposed restructuring plan. This plan will open up a huge window of time allowing me to have more time and have fun working on the show. The survey follows this proposal.
CURRENT THOUGHTS OF A POTENTIAL RESTRUCTURIUNG PLAN
There would be no changes to the following areas, these would remain business as usual: Registration, Information Booth, Grill, 50/50 Auction, or the T-Shirts or Dash Plaques (Everyone that registers by April first will receive a shirt and plaque).
GOODY BAGS: This would be restructured to provide goody bags for just the VIPs (pre-registered attendees). We currently give out 300 goody bags to pre-registered and those that register the day of the show. This would eliminate our goody bags by roughly 50%.
VIP GOODY BAGS: The VIP goody bags would consist of the following (at a minimum): T-Shirt, Dash Plaque, Custom Placard, Name Tag and Lanyard, Mini Clipboard, Voting Card, and Pen. The goody bags would no longer contain any of the other fluff (sponsor postcards, brochures, stickers, trinkets) unless provided to us without us soliciting.
AWARDS: We would restructure the awards as follows: Reduce the trophies for the cars to the Top 40, keep trucks at the Top 10, reduce motorcycle and tractors each to the Top 2, eliminate the Side-by-Side category as the interest is not there, and have 6-8 specialty awards. This reduces the awards today from 76 to 60-62. This will give us time to build better quality and cooler awards.
DOOR PRIZES: This would be restructured slightly. Today the raffle/door prizes allows for 70% of attendees winning a raffle prize. This would reduce to nothing less than 50% (half of the show attendees winning an award)
SILENT AUCTION: We will have no less than 20 items with a cap of 25 items. No more, no less.
GAMES: Always optional, but we would limit games to no more than two, but always running at least one game if not two.
